About the process: Peter D. Gerakaris Studio offers custom, vibrant fine art prints to enliven your environment whether that’s for your home, institutional, or corporate collection. Rather than print large editions (e.g. many multiples), the artist personally oversees every single custom print to ensure it’s of the highest quality possible & custom-tailored for your collection — wether it’s a one-off print, or part of a very limited edition. All prints contain ultra-crisp imagery & are richly-colored as archival pigment prints on fine art matte paper. Additionally, there are many other exciting media alternatives for custom printing such as vinyl wall murals, dibond & metal, fabric, etc.
Once you select your favorite image(s), we’ll determine the perfect size, format, & budget for your collection, then get the artwork(s) into production. The customized production process for this special site-specific commission involved many novel techniques & creative approaches — a combination of artistry, cutting-edge technology, & traditional craft. The ultimate vision for this work enlarges the painting to twice its original size, while amplifying the sensibility of a Byzantine Icon painted on wood with “distressed”, antiqued edges.
